Minerals of Technology, 2018
Digital devices are manufactured globally using materials extracted from the earth, often with a high human and environmental cost. The minerals on display are intrinsic to the data processing and storage systems that support cell phones. These natural materials are therefore ubiquitous, impacting the conditions of everyday life: our personal and work relationships, behaviors and habits, health, and physical environments. The two-sided display cards offer information on the characteristics, applications, and beliefs associated with each of these minerals.
